PATH is a global nonprofit founded in 1977 with the mission of achieving health equity worldwide. Since 2011, it has operated in Switzerland through the Foundation for Appropriate Technologies in Health (FATH). By bringing together expertise in science, economics, technology, advocacy, and many other fields, PATH forges multisector partnerships to develop and scale innovative solutions for the world’s most pressing health challenges. Yet billions of people still face inequitable health systems. To close these gaps, PATH advances progress in areas such as epidemic preparedness, antimicrobial resistance, HIV/AIDS, malaria, maternal and newborn health, nutrition, sexual and reproductive health, and tuberculosis. Its work spans vaccines, drugs, medical devices, diagnostics, digital tools, and forward-thinking approaches to strengthening health systems. The team—comprising scientists, epidemiologists, market analysts, engineers, advocates, and other specialists—collaborates to introduce and expand solutions that transform global health outcomes.
